Supersession Model

Configuration Data

The "Start Date Future" data field is automatically calculated based on the "Current Day" whereas the "Start Date Past" is blank (default value).

The "Replaced DFU" data field identifies the "old" DFUs (the unplanned DFUs).

The "Supersession OK to proceed" data field excludes DFUs with "#IND". If this value is found, the supersession is not applied.

The "Substituted Reference" data field is used by the users to set-up a supersession.

The "Substituted Reference Final" data field is the final output which is taken into account to apply supersession in data fields.

The "Disabled Self Supersession" data field identifies when there is a supersession from one DFU to the same DFU.

All the other data fields are core and used in all standard supersession calculations. In our model, we are taking the default value with no possibility of customization.

Technical Data

The "Final Items" data field identifies the remaining planned DFUs after the exclusion of Wrong Supersessions and before the exclusion of loop supersessions.

The "New Reference" data field identifies all planned DFUs after the exclusion of the Wrong Supersessions.

The "Old Reference" data field identifies all unplanned DFUs after the exclusion of the Wrong Supersessions.

The "Substituted Reference Corrected" data field takes into the set-up supersessions but excludes the Wrong Supersession (1 Old to N New).

The "Substituted Reference with Sequence" data field identifies DFUs part of a loop supersession (from DFU A → B, and then B → A).

The "Substituted Reference without Sequence" data field identifies planned DFUs which are not part of a loop supersession.

The "Wrong Supersession - 1 Old to N New" data field is an alert to detect if supersession has been set-up for 1 DFU to N DFUs, which can't go through with our model.

Example - if it is ticked, it means that there is an issue with the supersession:

Input Data

Input Data are all data fields which need to be included in the supersession: forecast, budget...

Note: for Composites, a specific folder has been created to deal with the different UoM.

Output Data

Output Data are all data fields for which supersessions are included.

Daily Follow-up Data

Follow-up Data keeps track of all changes on a daily basis.
