Solvay way of working means of course "Activity Based Working" (ABW) but also sharing common areas with others - members of your team or not. It is about - sharing spaces - common meeting rooms / bubbles / phones booths / heart with others. Some are very well known colleagues, others are not.
To "apprendre à vivre ensemble" as we say in French, there are some topics to be addressed.
- Branding or sense of belonging to a company sharing the same DNA, values and behaviors
- Clean desk: I leave my desk clean without any personal belongings
- Confidentiality: I book some specific spaces to handle confidential information or I work from home.
- Floor agreements: the basic principle is to mix on the same floor teams that will not "naturally" easily communicate between each other. Let's challenge it!
- Team agreements: in Activity Based Working, each team has each own "home base" area to welcome everybody in the morning, to gather at lunch time, ... however there is a need to define some common rules to live together.
