You can find meaning of DUNS in website http://www.dnb.com/duns-number.html. In SAP, DUNS will be used to for vendor creation and e-catalog creation

12	Click	If “Total matches”(#12a) shows ‘0’, it means that there is no result for DUNS code for this vendor, you can put “UNK” vendor workflow
