This guide explains how to find the currency conversion used in a query and it is applied.

Step 1 - Open the query in the designer and find the currency conversion rate used
The conversion can be found by looking at the key figure and choosing "display", then going to the "Conversions" tab :

- A variable : in this case the query will have a prompt to select the currency.
- A fixed currency (Ex : EUR) : in this case the user will not be able to choose the currency.
- Empty (with the "Use precalculated value" checked) : in this case it will use what is defined in the RSCUR transaction (See below).
Step 2 - Look at the Conversion Type design
Once you have found the conversion type used in the key figures, log in BW SAP and launch transaction RSCUR.
Enter/select the Currency Conversion Type :

The Time Reference used : this is time element that will be used to apply the rate.

The Target Currency : If "Target Currency Selection with Translation" then the currency will have to be selected in the query designer (via variable or fixed). Otherwise it can be fixed or via a variable.
Step 3 - Check the value of the exchange rate used
Once you know the Conversion Rate Type used we can check the actual value used.
