Before creating a contact, search it to avoid creating a duplicate. In case of duplicate, the system will warn you if:
And the system will guide you to the existing contact. And then you will be able to add a relationship. If the Contact does not exist, it is recommended to create it from the account page |

A contact is unique same name and same email address). You will not be able to duplicate it. If you want to add one existing contact to another account => you must use "add relationship" |

Select your Account, Scroll down to find the "Related Contacts"
Click on «Add Relationship»
1- In Contact field, fill part of the name of the existing contact“. Click on the magnifier at the right of the "Contact" Field.
2- Click on "contact name" you want to add.
3- Click Save
