A sample request is a paid or free-of-charge product shipment to be sent to a customer for demonstration and/or evaluation purposes.
The user creates a Sample record and add the product she/he wants to send to the customer. Only one product can be added by sample. In case the user wants to send another product to the exact same customer (without filling in again the creation form), it is easy to do by using the "Clone" button.
For all Samples except Chimie Plus ones: when the product is added, the user has to click on "Submit". If the sample requires an approval, it is sent to the Product Manager (with ECCO, it should be changed soon by the Sales Manager). When the PM approves, a case is created for the CSR. When the case has been managed, the CSR closes the case. The sample's status is automatically changed to "Sample sent - closed".
