To investigate the structure/property relationship polymers dielectric properties in radio frequency range, molecular dynamics can be used to evaluate a "Kirkwood" factor accounting for the polarizability of dipoles ultimately responsible for the dielectric response of the material at radio frequencies. Through a thorough analysis of several polymeric structures, some design rules for minimizing the dielectric loss of polymers have been identified.
