Description of the initiative | The current approach for industrial applications could evolve to application hell management due to fragmentation: hard integrations, duplicate functionalities, exponential number of vendors to manage . Added to this complexity, today’s industrial architectures are not pure cloud, but rather a hybrid of edge, on-premises, and cloud. To ensure the Intelligent Asset Platform has a solid foundation under which it evolve and scale, we evaluate and pilot a hybrid FIP (Foundational Industrial Platform) for industrial and lab enviroments, able to offer a common set of cross-layer integration mechanisms, security by design, and ready-to-deploy most common SaaS applications. |
