Skills Based Organization (SBO) Project

A Skills-Based Organization (SBO) is a flexible and agile company that emphasizes developing and utilizing employee skills as the primary driver of success. Unlike traditional hierarchical organizations, SBOs prioritize the employees' expertise, continuous learning, and adaptability over rigid structures and siloed departments. Syensqo is in the first steps of this journey and the focus is to embed a skills-centric approach in the way we attract, develop, manage, and reward Talent.

The methodology of our skills-centric approach is:

SKILL IDENTIFICATION

To recognize the skills (hard & soft) needed to perform the work

SKILL ACTIVATION

The development opportunities to improve skills following the 70-20-10 Model

SKILL VALIDATION

The continuous assessment of skills.

What if we found ourselves building something that nobody wants?

At Syensqo, we embrace this journey by embedding the principle of experimentation. Our objective is simple: to pilot the SBO Methodology and empirically measure the progress.  EXPLORE with us!

SKILL ACTIVATION

The research is clear about how we successfully develop: we benefit most from learning by experience or on-the-job training (70%), then learning from others (20%), and sometimes through formal training (10%).

Learning by Experience

One way to activate and learn a new skill is to participate in a project experience.

This page lists the Projects (or ‘Gigs’) available in Syensqo, allowing Project Leaders to post and share opportunities. It is designed for anyone interested and available to join a project, with the goal of activating specific skills.

Be sure to review the guidelines first.
