What is the IT separation program?

As part of the Solvay and Syensqo separation, our IT teams are diligently working to segregate all IT infrastructure and applications. By December 8th, 2025, Syensqo and Solvay will have completely independent IT services with no more shared access. From September 2024 to December 2025, several applications and systems will be migrated from Solvay environment to Syensqo environment with some impacts.

What is the AODocs migration project?

Syensqo AODocs libraries are going to be duplicated from Solvay environment to Syensqo environment. This is a similar process to the Po2 Migration project done in 2023.

The only technical solution to separate AODocs libraries is to duplicate all Syensqo libraries to a new AODocs domain owned by Syensqo. This duplication will be done in several batches. Each will contain several AODocs libraries categorized either as: No impact, Low Impact or High impact.

Who is impacted?

Potentially any Syensqo user or TSA Solvay user with access to AODocs Syensqo Libraries. Here you can check the full list of Syensqo AODocs libraries

Tip: We recommend you to use this directory Syensqo AODocs libraries till the end of the project because it will be updated on a regular basis and it will redirect users to the right AODocs library when migrated.

When is it going to happen?

High Level Planning:

High Level Planning

    • No Impact libraries begins duplication from November 2024
    • Low & High impact libraries duplicated from January 2025 till March 2025

TIP:  You can check scheduled migrated date and status for your Syensqo AODocs libraries here

Communication and Change management

  • Information Webinars will be organized during November 2024
  • Communications delivered to impacted users 2 weeks before duplication
  • High impact libraries, communication will be sent to ask validation about scheduled duplication dates.

What are the user impacts?

As AODocs libraries will be duplicated, AODocs links will change. This means AODocs library link, ADDocs document page and attachment links will be changed once migrated.

Please note that not all of your libraries will be duplicated in one go. You may have to continue switching between the old environment and the new SYENSQO environment until all duplications are complete.

There is one page dedicated to this topic here What are the impacts for final users?

You can find a guide to this here

Recommendation: If you access Syensqo AODocs libraries from Syensqo AODocs libraries will ease this transition.

Is there any action expected on my end?

AODocs standard users (Contributors & Readers)

    • Do not modify documents during the duplication process.
    • Communication will be sent to all impacted users before each duplication.

AODocs Library Administrators have to:

    • Before duplication:
      • Ensure AODocs documents are checked in
