Advanced filters AND/OR

Definition

In addition to the standard filtering features, an advanced capability has been developed that allows users to filter out unwanted data. An important use-case of Formulation & Synthesis laboratories is to look for trials containing or not containing specific ingredients.

Use Cases

  • Given that a user has the ability to apply filters on a dataset, including both inclusion and exclusion options for the same field,
  • When the user selects specific options to include and other specific options to exclude
  • Then the system should display only those trials that contain the included options and exclude any trials that contain any of the excluded options
