Important

The Safety Data Sheet is named as Ficha de Segurança de Produto Químico (FISPQ).

The Tremcard is named as Ficha de Emergência de Produto Químico (FE).

Rules to launch:

  • GHS BR: determines the classification of the products and the labeling elements according to the Brazilian regulation . This information is displayed in section 2 of SDS.
  • Hazard Comp BR: determines the hazardous ingredients to be listed in section 3 + ingredients with OEL/BEI to be displayed in section 8.

Others Specificities

  • Section 3: the rule HazardComp BR (HC_BR) does not evaluate ingredients with OEL for section 3. However, if the rule HC_BR lists in section 8 an ingredient that is not listed in section 3, then the template automatically displays this ingredient in section 3, at the end of the table, with the phrase "WEL substance".
  • The ranges of concentration are displayed according to the following rules:
      • If there is a range of concentration in section 8, this range is displayed in section 3;
      • If there are no ranges of concentration in section 8 but an exact value, a rounding is made. Then:
        • for the lower value of the range: if the rounding is > 30, we take out 2 to the rounding exact value. If < 30, we take out 1. If the value is negative, we use 0.
        • for the upper value of the range: if the rounding is > 20, we add 3 to the rounding exact value. If < 20, we add 2. If the value is > 100, we display 100.
      • If there are no ranges nor exact value in section 8, the program that calculates the ranges for section 3 use the exact value from the standard composition.
  • Section 14: ANTT regulation (Brazilian Land Regulation);
  • Section 15: the template enables to display NA regulations if maintained with the proper validity area (Z_NA + BR or Z_LA):
      • HMIS Rating (US);
      • NFPA Rating (US);
      • WHMIS Classification (CA).


Mexico

SDS variant: SDS_MXLanguage: ES

Rules to launch:

  • GHS_MX: determines the classification and labeling according to the GHS_MX regulation, to be displayed in section 2. Unlike other LA countries, the output classes of the rule GHS_MX are GHS classification (NA) and GHS labeling (NA) .
  • Hazard Comp MX: determines the hazardous ingredients to be listed in section 3 + ingredients with OEL/BEI to be displayed in section 8.


Argentina

  • G HS_AR: determines the classification and labeling according to the GHS_AR regulation, to be displayed in section 2.

Colombia

SDS variant: SDS_COLanguage: ES

Rul es to launch:

  • ZEXP_GHSCO: determines the classification of the product and labeling elements according to the GHS_CO (Colombian Regulation) to be displayed in section 2.
  • ZEXP_HC_CO: determines the hazardous ingredients to be listed in section 3 and ingredients with OEL/BEI to be displayed in section 8.

Others Specificities

  • Section 1: Must maintain the existing model of Latin America templates used by the existing generation variants. For this chapter there are no specificities provided for in the Colombian standard NTC-4045.
  • Section 2: The existing model of LATAM used by existing generation variants is adequate, but for SDS_CO it is necessary to describe the "appearance" of the product highlighted in this chapter, this information must be presented first "2.1".

  • Section 3: The LA model is maintained. There are no specifics.
  • Section 8: A little different from most of the templates used in Latin America, the Colombian standard determines that the OSHA and ACGIH OELs (TWA and STEL) be declared, when they exist. Just like the SDS_US template.
  • Section 9 through 13: The LA model is maintained. There are no specifics.
  • Section 14: New specific template is created for SDS_CO with the 4 regulations IMDG, IATA, DOT, TDG. The declaration of these 4 standards is mandatory in compliance with Colombian standard NTC 4435.
  • Section 15 and 16: The LA model is maintained. There are no specifics.



Chile

SDS variant: SDS_CLLanguage: ES

Important

NEW GHS regulation for Chile (GHS_CL). Change from previous approach to apply GHS_UN.


Rules to launch:
  • GHS_CL: determines the classification and labeling according to the GHS_CL regulation, to be displayed in section 2;
  • Hazard Comp CL: determines the hazardous ingredients to be listed in section 3 + ingredients with OEL/BEI to be displayed in section 8:
    • In terms of OEL, this template enable to display national, US ACGIH and Solvay OELs.
  • NFPA_Chile: determines the NFPA rating in section 15;
  • Regulatory information Chile: determinates Chile specific regulatory information.

  • Section 15: Following phrases from this file must be included.
