EMEA : 

• suspension and quotas - cycle : July 2023 : list of french requests available here. Support can be provided until Nov 6th,2022 and opposition until Dec 1st, 2022.

• Kosovo is now part of countries for which the cumulation rules of origin are applicable in context of international agreements with EU. Here is a summary by country : 
  • from Sept 1, 2021 : SWITZERLAND, NORWAY, ICELAND, REPUBLIC OF ALBANIA, JORDAN, DENMARK- FAROE ISLANDS, the PALESTINIAN LIBERATION ORGANIZATION (PLO) and GEORGIA
  • from Sept 9, 2021 : REPUBLIC OF NORTH MACEDONIA
  • from Nov 16, 2021 : REPUBLIC OF MOLDOVA
  • from Dec 6, 2021 : SERBIA
  • from Feb 2, 2022 : MONTENEGRO
  • from Oct 15, 2022 : KOSOVO

• EU adopted on Oct 6,2022 its 8^th package of Russia sanctions in response to the recent Russian annexation of Ukraine’s Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions. To have more information, please see Export Control & Sanction Compliance community.

NAM : 

• U.S. Customs and Border Protection has adjusted customs user fees and limitations for fiscal year 2023 and will require these adjusted fees as of Oct. 1, 2022. Details here.

September 2022 : 

• The Turkish Government, in line with Turkish Presidential Circular no: 2021/24 dated 3 December 2021 on the use of word “Türkiye” in foreign languages, has started using “Türkiye” to replace the words such as “Turkey”, “Türkei”, and “Turquie” that were used in the past to refer to the Republic of Turkey.

• The ACI filing on the NAFEZA and CargoX Platform for all  shipments arriving at Egyptian airports will become a required procedure as of January 1st, 2023.

EMEA : 

• Regulation (L 173/58):  the products ch. 39 will be excluded from SPG (origin IN)

• Proposal for Regulation No 2658/87: temporary suspension of the tariff duties the goods used to produce nitrogen fertilisers currently classified under the 2814 10 and 3102 10 commodity codes.

• New UK customs system - CDS will enter into force for imports as from October 1st, 2022

APAC : 

• Taiwan is part of China, when good import from Taiwan or export from China, documents or label can not “MADE IN ROC“ or ”中华民国制造“ and

1. 1. The English translation of  "Taiwan, China(中国台湾)" is: TAIWAN PROVINCE OF CHINA, or TAIWAN CHINA, or CHINESE TAIWAN; 
   2. "Chinese Taipei(中国台北)", the English   translation is: TAIPEI, CHINA, or CHINESE TAIPEI

AMERICAS :

• The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) launches CARM project ( CBSA Assessment and Revenue Management) in 2023
• Brazil and US Customs authorities signed Sep 16th, a Mutual Recognition Agreement (MRA) on AEO structure in both countries. This may turn import and export shipments from/to AEO companies in these countries more agile
