I need to update data in ADM (Web DP or Master Data). How do I do it in an efficient manner?

Step-by-step guide

  1. Open the ADM table and use the filter to show all rows that have to be updated

  2. highlight the rows you want to update (same as with Excel, use the shift key)

  3. hit the button. It opens a dialog window


    1. fields with value: all selected rows have the same value for that field


    2. blank fields: at least one row shows another value for that field 

  4. You want to update MatField 1 → enter the target value in that field. Once you do, the checkbox is activated.

  5. hit

  6. MatField1 is updated.


The above works well when updating massive number of records with one value. E.g. setting all selected record to MTO stock policy.

For more complex mass changes, you want to touch base with Ion and give them a file to upload. Find a list of ADM tables that have been made MASS-change ready:

  • Production Standard
  • Production Standard Effectivity

Open the tables, filter on the data you want to update, and hit . It export the selected data into an Excel spreadsheet you can update and send over to Ion.
