Description of the initiative | Process Book is the tool used by PI end-users to browse MES data. It will be deprecated by the vendor on Jan, 2024. Security patches will no longer be released after January 2023. The purpose of the project is to roll-out PI vision worldwide in order to replace Process Book. |

* Why is this initiative proposed today?
As of Dec 31st, 2022, OsiSoft/Aveva will not provide any security patch nor update for PI ProcessBook. Software vendor has not postponed the date when they will stop the support of PI ProcessBook. As of January 1st, 2023, ProcessBook can stop working at any time. Solvay needs to anticipate and minimize this risk to avoid any business interruption. |
