1 - Syensqo Network Overview

Syensqo's Global Network spans four major regions:

  • NAM - LAM: North & Latin Americas
  • EMEA: Europe, Middle East & Africa
  • APAC: Asia & Pacific
  • CHINA

The backbone is primarily supported by Megaport, which interconnects the EMEA, NAM-LAM, and APAC regions through dedicated links.

Each of the four regions relies on a Hub & Spoke SDWAN architecture, with two regional hubs hosted in Megaport datacenters.

These Megaport Hubs host:

  • 2 x virtual SDWAN Routers serving as regional SDWAN hubs
  • 2 x virtual PaloAlto Firewalls for secure partner VPN connectivity
  • Direct interconnections to Syensqo’s regional cloud tenants (AWS, Azure, or GCP)

There is a specificity for China which does not rely on Megaport backbone directly, and does not have dedicated Cloud Tenants or Partner VPN Firewalls.

Instead, China’s SDWAN hubs —located at major sites in Shanghai and Zhangjiagang— connect to the APAC region’s Megaport hubs via a Verizon MPLS link, relying on APAC’s infrastructure for cloud and partner connectivity.
