How to convert Bex 3 workbook to Bex 7

1. Open Bex 3 workbook with Bex 7.
2. Save it.

Comment : Ignore all warnings.

How to convert Bex 3/7 workbook to Analysis

1. Open Workbook with Bex 3/7 and refresh it.
2. Save it on your favorites on BW Server.
3. Open Analysis.
4. Go to File / Analysis / Convert BEx Workbook.
5. Go to Folder / Favorites.
6. Select the Bex Workbook to convert it to Analysis (it may take several minutes, depending on the workbook size/compexity).
7. Save the Analysis workbook.

Troubleshooting Bex 3 to Bex 7

Excel macro does not work anymore

Issue :

After conversion, the SAPBExonRefresh macro (which is normally automatically run after each workbook refresh) does not work anymore.

Such macro is, for example, used in Inventory Coverage rate workbook (4GQ8WDQKNABL93XBWN40L7CJ0) to calculate the % of inventory.

Solution :

1. Go to Bex 7 workbook properties.
2. Enable "refresh Workbook on Open".
   
3. Indicate the name of the macro to run on refresh.
