1.1. Objectives and scope of this procedure
This OP explains how to create a material for Chemicals and Plastics sectors in ERP PF2/050 and PF2/020 , for the following material type:
2. STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURE DESCRIPTION
2.1. Definition
The concept of family is a forecast combination salable articles and intermediaries on which planning is carried out in APO DP tool (Advanced Planner & Optimizer - Demand Planning).
The forecast is a characteristic family assigned to some salable products and intermediate goods (characteristic ZR_APO_FORECAST_FAMILY validated on table ZZRFORFAM)
2.2. Codification
The code of a family cannot exceed forecast 12 positions and text free.´
PIF+PROD. HIERARCHY
Recommendation: Use as soon as possible the same code as the free part of the tactical section (see Business Rules – Procedure of Tactical article – Z718)
Particular case:
ZZ = case management: this instance is used for all salable articles and intermediaries must eventually be grouped in a family group of forecast but not yet defined.
APO is applied on the intermediates (not solexis)
2.2. Short Text
Each family has forecast a short name (max length = 40).
To avoid confusion, it starts with an identifier "forecast family" (FF).
Creation or amendment of a family must come from the forecast flow product manager in charge of this article (or its successor).
In case of creation, flow product manager must also indicate the articles to which the BO must assign the new forecast family.
