Raw materials are grouped under products which have the same molecule but under different grades and/or concentrations and/or packaging. Products are defined by their preferred IUPAC name when possible or their commercial name when not possible. "Product" is the first level of the stream taxonomy.

Stream Taxonomy

Scheme of classification of raw materials, based on feedstocks used in their manufacturing route. It enables activities such as spend analysis and forecasts, risk management, opportunity heat maps and environmental reports. This is achieved by using a three-level hierarchy consisting of stream, value chain and product.
