The Crop Protection division of BASF is eyeing India to set up its global R&D centre in view of its global commitment to agriculture by means of outlaying in Asia Pacific. In this regard, the company is brooding
over the fund required, time-frame to set up the centre, and appropriate approvals to be obtained from the Indian authorities. This apart, BASF built an agro research station in Pune, India in 2012 that is likely to go on
stream shortly.
