SSO impact on server list in BW Analysis new version (2.1SP03)

Together with the 2016 roll-out of the latest versions of :

  • SAPGUI  (upgraded to v7.40)
  • BW Analysis (upgraded to v2.1SP03)

the SSO (Single Sign On)  has been implemented.

Thus, the first time you will open BW Analysis the server list will be empty:

unless you open first the SAPLogon :

  1. Close Analysis.
  2. Open SAPLogon
  3.  Click on "Connexions" folder and its sub-folder, make sure there is a list of servers here. If there is no server list here, please contact IS Infra-structure team to install it.

  4.  Open Analysis again. The servers list will then remain permanently.

Nota : If nevertheless it doesn't work, it means that the SAPUIlandscape.xml file is either missing or corrupted.

To solve the issue you need either to copy your missing file or replace the corrupted one by the file hereunder.

SAPUILandscape.xml

The path to copy or replace the file is C:\Users\<Users>\AppData\Roaming\SAP\Common.

How to logon without SSO (Single Sign ON) ?

Because of the SSO, by default, when you open BW Analysis (v2.1SP03), it will automatically logon with your Windows account.

If you want to logon as previously w/o SSO  or to an other BW account, you need to :

  1. open "BW Analysis", then do the following configuration.
  2. Reopen Analysis.
  3. Logon BW server again.
  4. Update Language to "EN" (english) and Click Cancel.
  5.  Then you can either input your credentials or another User & Password account:
