Multimedia formats (Internet & Web factory)

Overview

This documents give the requirement to prepare multimedia files for use in the Internet & Webfactory web sites.

To use images in Tridion, please reach the Manage Media section.

The three available formats on the web are: jpg, png, gif

The images size are different regarding the context. The table below give all the information.

White background = common usage

Grey background = specific advanced usage.

In picture fields (for Articles, Spotlights, Event, Press release) Adding using : <click to add a picture> or <add internal link to multimedia content>	width: 1024 px height: 682 px Will be resized automatically for most of the contexts (spotlights, etc...) Smaller size? A smaller size is possible, but please keep this 1.5 ratio.
Among formatted text of editorial content Adding from the 'Insert' toolbar, then 'Image'.	width: 710 px (maximum) height: free
Ads picture Adding using : <add internal link to multimedia content>	width: 246 px height: 95 px (minimum)
Illustration of a video Adding from the video metadata.	width: 719 px height: 404 px
Master page & content page banner	width: 1680 px height: 300 px
People / Management gallery	width: 440 px height: 293 px
New homepage banner slideshow (for standard country sites)	width: 800px height: 800px
Mag Editorial (Story) - Homepage picture (for standard country sites) Info New field called "Homepage picture" in schema Mag Article. Used for standard country sites.	width: 800px height: 400px
Poster Info New schema which allows you to have a kind of "Key Figure" functionality. Or even to have just an image infographic to have a clickable link.	width: 400px height: 400px
Video in Master page & content page banner	width: 1680 px height: 300px
Mag Editorial (Story) main picture Info Main picture is displayed at the top of the Story page in detail + in the Story index page (see examples)	width: 1920 px height: 1280 px
