A Training Curriculum is a knowledge development path recommended by the Industrial HSE in order to ensure the homogeneity of in-house competencies in Health, Safety & Environment throughout the Solvay Group.

Who should follow this training curriculum?

  • Occupational Safety knowledge - experience - expertise - competencies may be owned or distributed within several persons ON SITE , depending on the organisation and roles.
    The following roles can contribute to OS on site: OS specialist/expert, HSE Manager, Production Manager, Site Manager.

  • This can be complemented by consultants or by support from the Zone OS Manager .

RECOMMENDED PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION OR EXPERIENCE:

Specific school education in safety and 2 years in production or in HSE (1 year in a chemical plant)
or 5 years in production or technical services preferably in a chemical plant
or 3 years in an equal position in a similar company

Obtain certificate according to local regulations

Mentoring

On Site:
Knowledge of the Site (planned visits to the different sectors)
If possible 3 months of overlapping with the former occupant of the position, or planned training with the HSE Manager.
Baton passing procedure to be applied if possible.

Complemented by the Zone OS Manager , depending on the local resources
