- I am travelling on a business trip outside Portugal, am I insured by the company?
Yes, you are covered by the work accidents insurance for 15 days if traveling inside UE. Travels over this period, or outside UE, needs to be communicated to HR in order to do an exception insurance for the remaining period. If you have a work accident you will be covered by the insurance company, however the insurance does not cover any other treatment done outside Portugal if it does not result from a work accident. When travelling to Europe it is advised that you have the European Health Card that can be requested directly by you online.
