China’s Shandong Wanda Chemical has delayed the restart its on-purpose 100,000 tonne/year butadiene (BD) plant at Dongying in Shandong province to early November, from its original schedule on 28 October, because of technical issues, market sources said on Friday.

The plant was shut on 6 October for maintenance, they added.

The plant uses butene as a feedstock to produce BD through dehydrogenation.
