Taiyo Petrochemical has planned to restart its Styrene Monomer (SM) plant. A Polymerupdate source in Japan informed that the plant was is likely to resume production on October 1, 2014. The plant was taken off-stream on August 19, 2014 for a maintenance turnaround.
Located at Ube in Japan, the plant has a production capacity of 370,000 mt/year.
