Overview
Salesforce navigation is very smooth once you understand the basic rules. All pages are structured the same way and uses the same principles.

How to log into Salesforce ?
If you connect for the first time, you will have to register your phone number.
Then, verify your identity by filling in the code you just received by text message.
General navigation
When you connect for the fist time, Convergence will look like this.
You can click on "Hide Feed" to make the display lighter.
Click on the left arrow to display the left side panel.
The left side panel contains useful information and links
Help
Need help : a link to this Confluence user guide.
Create request : open a ticket in Freshdesk if you need help.
Supplier help : a link to a pdf to help suppliers.
Tools
Single Buyer Portal : a link to this portal, directly in Convergence.
QlikView : a link to your BI tool.
Recent items : a link to the last objects you browse : last suppliers, last contacts, etc.
Recycle bin : a link to all object you deleted.
On the top of any Convergence screen, you will find the those elements:
Logo of Convergence.
Search bar to search in every object.
Tabs to navigate between objects.
Please note that you can click on any link with the mouse wheel (in between the left and right mouse buttons) : this will directly open a new tab !
Search function
Type any term in the search bar and click on "Search"
When you connect for the first time, feel free to close the salesforce ad which is displayed on every Convergence page. Just click on the cross on top right corner.
Results are displayed by object. In this example :
1 Account contains the word "Golf"
1 Activity (meaning a task) contains the word "Golf"
1 Team member contains the word "Golf"
and 3 Visit Minutes contain the word "Golf"
etc.
Pages
All pages in Convergence are structured the same way.
Details : the first half of any page contains details about the object. For example, an account page will first displays details about the account.
Related list in Convergence are tables showing informations which are linked to the object. For example, there is a "Visit Minute" related list on an account page : it shows all the Visit minutes from this account..
