Interest rate



Data Business Definition


An interest rate represents the cost of borrowing money, expressed as a percentage. In Solvay these interest rates are applied to the Internal Bank Accounts by the Solvay Treasury Accounting team. It is published in Reuteurs website, identified by a RIC code (*) and daily uploaded to Solvay systems. On the top of interest rates, we maintain a margin / BPS (Basis Points) to consider credit risk and remuneration of group company acting as a bank. (see affiliate credit ratings).

*RIC code: A Reuters Instrument Code, or RIC, is a ticker-like code used by Thomson Reuters to identify financial instruments and indices. The codes are used for looking up information on various Thomson Reuters financial information systems.
