Data Business Definition
Finished goods are items on which all the manufacturing operations and quality control tests have been completed and that are available for sales and shipment. Classically they are products manufactured on the production site, but it can also be products manufactured under a tolling agreement on the site of a partner, or even products purchased in a complete manufactured form for a pure re-sales purpose (in the latter case, we talk about trading goods).
