Taiwan Styrene Monomer Corp (TSMC) is on track to shut its 160,000 tonne/year styrene monomer (SM) plant at Linyuan in Kaohsiung on 24 May for a 15-day scheduled turnaround, a company source said on Friday.
The facility is operating at 100% at the meantime, and its larger 180,000 tonne/year SM unit at the same site is also running at full tilt, the source said.
Because of the turnaround, TSMC will skip purchases for June spot benzene cargoes, according to the company source.
