Lucite International is on track to restart its methyl methacrylate (MMA) plant at Jurong Island in Singapore after a scheduled maintenance by next week, a company source said on Friday.
The 120,000 tonne/year plant was taken off line in mid-September.
The company uses the alpha process at the plant and uses ethylene, carbon monoxide and methanol as feedstock.
Lucite International is a subsidiary of Japanese producer Mitsubishi Rayon Co (MRC), a major MMA producer in Asia.
