Co$ta - Tool to track PO Material Group change

there is currently a SOLVAY process for updating the "material group" field in purchase orders. Because "material group" is used to determine  "Package /Subpackage"  , this process may have a retroactive impact on COSTA queries.

In order to facilitate the analysis of changes of "material group" field in purchase orders, a dedicated query have been created to to monitor modified documents. This query focus on "restated " Purchase Order for a for a period of months of document modification. The query also focus on COSTA posting where Costa Packagae have been derivated from Purchase Order (Cost Package derivation = "PURCHDOC")


Access the workbook

The workbook to be used is BW_WBK_COSTA_0003  – CO$TA - Snapshot vs Current Comparison

=> Go to Analysis for Office in excel 

=> Click "Open Workbook"



Go to the tab "Role"

Open the folder "Cost Transparency" and select the workbook "BW_WBK_COSTA_0003  – CO$TA - Snapshot vs Current Comparison

Double-click on the workbook to open it

If you can not access the workbook => go to the page Co$ta - BW Authorization 




Run the workbook

Enter:

  • The snapshot name (1) =
    • P000000 = Actual data
    • PYYMMDD = Snapshot done on the DD/MM/YY (ex: P220302 is the snapshot done on the  )
  • A Period FROM and TO (even if there is one month, you must enter FROM 01.2020 TO 01.2020). It's the Fiscal period of data you are looking for (2)
  • Enter the GBU / Package / Company as in the standard workbook (3)


Click "OK" 




Dimensions

The workbook is similar to the standard workbook Co$ta - Access & run BW query but with: 

  • Less dimensions available
  • 3 dimensions not available in other Co$ta workbooks: 
    • Snapshot Name
    • Snapshot data
    • Snapshot time

Ex: For the same selection (Macro-Package P00002), the actual amount = 2 753 100 € while on  the total amount was 2 981 460 €

there is a decrease of the costs in the Macro-Package P00002 that can be explained by adding more dimensions in the report.
