Data Architect :


The information/data architect strengthens the impact of, and provides recommendations on, business information that will need to be available and shared consistently through the identification, definition and analysis of how information assets aid strategies and business outcomes. The Information/data architect is responsible for discovering the data and analytics requirements for information for all uses.

S/he defines the information assets as well as the assets' sources, structure, classification and associations in accordance to the strategy define by the business and the (Enterprise) Information Architect to respond to disruptive forces and move toward desired business outcomes

Data Custodian :


The Data Custodian is primarily responsible for managing the metadata about the information assets of the organization, to promote standardization and to guarantee the quality of the data in collaboration with the Data Stewards. Metadata is “information that describes various facets of an information asset to improve its usability throughout its life cycle.” Metadata management enables data lineage by providing tracking and transparency of how the data moves and changes across enterprise. Data custodians work closely with data stewards, often providing direct assistance with the diagnostic steps of the data governance processes that require more technical sophistication than data stewards have
