China’s Shandong Keluer Chemical Co achieved on-spec acrylonitrile (ACN) at its new 130,000 tonne/year plant in Dongying on 3 December, a company source said on Thursday.
The company, which is a joint venture (JV) between Sinopec and Wanda Petrochemical Group, started trial runs at the unit in late november.
The ACN plant is currently running at low rates, but production will be ramped up once operations at the unit stabilise, the source said.
